The Porter-Gaud Golf Team was delighted to host the SWIFTS team, a select group of eight top high school golfers from all over England, now on a U.S. tour playing American private school teams. This year's English team includes the sons of Nick Faldo, who is among the top golfers in the world, and Ronan Rafferty who was a recent European Tyder Cup Team member.

The Cyclones hosted the British team to dinner the day before they battled it out in an 18-hole match at Yeamans Hall. The SWIFTS won with a final score of 8 1/2 points to Porter-Gaud's 3 1/2 points. Tucker Sniveley was PG medalist of the day with a score of 76. The SWIFTS team travels to America every two years with the support of a national sports trust.
